For two summers, Xavier Mercado ’24 has led a classroom through the Breakthrough Collaborative, which promotes education equity and trains college students for careers in education.
Trinity College marked the beginning of its 201st academic year by welcoming students from across the United States and around the world. Along with the 547 new first-year undergraduates in the Class of 2028, Trinity also welcomed 17 transfer students and two new students in the Individualized Degree Program (IDP).
On Sunday, Trinity College shed its quiet cloak of summer as a flurry of new students began arriving with boxes, bags, family members and furry friends in tow.
A Bicentennial Gala Saturday, May 11, at the Connecticut Convention Center celebrated the past and looked to the future. The event supported Trinity’s commitment to the city that its founders chose 200 years ago, raising funds for scholarships for Hartford students.
